It seems every November there is some sort of challenge to help in cultivating more gratitude in your life! We focus on loved ones, and feel positive about all that we already have in our lives. I'm always happy to see people sharing what they are grateful for! Today, I am going to share a special essential oil that can support you in cultivating more gratitude, and that is Spikenard. I will also share about a few other oils, but Spikenard will be the focus!

Spikenard essential oil is considered the oil of gratitude, which is why it would be the one you want to use! It can help you let go of and release resistance, anger, victim mentality, selfishness, greed, and "murphy's law". You can use this oil regularly in your meditation practice, or while you are journaling a gratitude list. You can also apply it diluted to the solar plexus chakra center or use together with Tiger's Eye crystal. If the aroma of Spikenard isn't for you, try combining it with Clove, Cypress, Frankincense, Geranium, Juniper Berry, Lavender, Myrrh, Wild Orange, Rose, and Vetiver to create a personalized fragrance. These oils, while not specifically oils for Gratitude, pair well with Spikenard.

Here are other oils that can help to Cultivate Gratitude:

  • Wild Orange
  • Helichrysum
  • PastTense
  • Douglas Fir
  • Lime

You can use these in conjunction with Spikenard by diffusing, or adding in a roller bottle. I love writing down 5 things that I'm grateful for in my journal, both in the morning and in the evening. One of the beautiful things about gratitude is how it works with bringing about more to be grateful for. If you are focusing on what you already have, and expressing thanks and gratitude for it, you will see more of that in your life!

Share with me in the comments 3 things you are grateful for today!
